Man dies in one-car accident

The Press-Register reported Saturday on a late-night possible drunk driving accident that killed the driver and amazingly did not injure the passenger last Thursday.

The Chevrolet Silverado truck was heading west on Lott Road and ran off the road near Whigham Road when the driver lost control going around a curve. The truck reportedly rolled, and both men were ejected from the cab. The driver died, and the passenger walked away without any injuries.

Police reported finding beer botttles and cans in the car, so the accident may have been a case of drunken driving. The accident is still being investigated.
