A man was injured in a late afternoon motorcycle accident in Douglas County on Christmas Day. He was riding his motorcycle on a dirt road near Topsy Avenue and U.S. 395 in Nevada. He broke his arm in the accident.

The driver's

arm struck a boulder. He walked back to the highway and flagged down a motorist, who was an off-duty volunteer paramedic at about 3 p.m., Halsey said.

It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The bike slipped on the gravel road, causing the bike to fall over. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
