Train hits 18-wheeler in accident

Another Alabama train accident on March 27 in Sylacauga fortunately did not result in injury or death, according to a report from Daily Home Online.

Apparently, an 18-wheeler going south on North Broadway did not hear a train whistle and was struck by the train's engine. No one in the train or truck was injured. This further raises the question of installing warning gates at all railroad crossings.

If train companies would just spend the extra money to protect train and motor vehicle drivers from collisions, many deaths and injuries would be avoided.
