Cribs sold at Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores across the nation are being recalled due to an entrapment hazard. The recalled cribs were manufactured by Jardine and sold from 2002 to May of this year. Over 320,000 cribs are involved in the recall.

The recall is being conducted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission because the cribs pose a strangulation hazard for infants. The wooden crib slats and spindles can break, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants.

There have been reports of 42 cribs breaking. Four children have been injured. The recalled cribs are considered to be unsafe and should no longer be used. The company is offering a voucher to obtain a new crib. A complete list of the recalled cribs can be found at www.jardincribrecall.com.
