Hit-and-run truck accident kills boy

Tragedy struck in Brooklyn yesterday when a three-year-old boy was killed by a pickup truck yesterday in a hit-and-run accident.

The New York Times reports on the accident, which says that witnesses identified the vehicle as a red, four-door, extended-cab pickup truck. The boy was crossing the street a few steps behind his parents when the truck hit him. The accident occurred at the intersection fo Fifth Avenue and 55th Street in Sunset Park.

Investigators are still trying to locate the driver who committed the crime.
