The family of a Lee High School student who died in the November school bus accident in Huntsville filed suit against the school bus company and the driver of the car involved in the crash.

The wrongful death lawsuit was the first to be filed in conjunction with the crash that killed four students and injured many others. An article in The Huntsville Times details the lawsuit, which cites the absence of seat belts on the bus.

Additional lawsuits are expected to be filed on behalf of other families of teens involved in the accident.
