Blout County Car Crash Kills One

A 17-year-old was killed and three other teenagers injured in a car accident in Blount County today.  The car left Springville Road and hit a tree.  The teenager who died was driving the car. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by state troopers, according to Blount County Coroner John Mark Vaughn.

The three injured teenagers were taken to the University of Alabama Hospital.  They are all in the intensive care unit.  Two are listed in critical condition and the third is in fair condition.  The accident happened around 11:30 a.m.  No other injuries were reported and it is believed that no other vehicles were involved.
