Accident fatality is 53rd in NW Alabama this year

The Times Daily reports a one-car accident early Saturday morning at a curve on Lauderdale 7, two miles north of Florence, Alabama. The driver of the vehicle, Darian Burns of Florence, died from head trauma injuries sustained during the accident.

This tragic motor vehicle accident is reported to be the 53rd fatality this year on Northwest Alabama's roadways, and the first for the month of November.

Though the Alabama Department of Public Safety is still investigating the wreck, it is possible that a rain storm may have contributed to the accident.
